Dr. Sherman Farahani

Dr. Farahani is a Prosthodontist, a dentist with three years of advanced specialty training in restoring and replacing teeth. For more than a decade he has focused on esthetic results in highly complex cases, including full mouth reconstructions, dental implants and advanced restorative care. He excels in simplifying and solving the most complicated dental problems. His goal is always an esthetic result that looks natural, works well and lasts for years.

Dr. Farahani studied Biochemistry in University of British Columbia, Vancouver, before moving to New York to attend NYU College of Dentistry, where he earned his DDS, receiving the Eugene Rothschild Memorial award for excellence in fixed prosthodontics. He then completed a general practice residency at NewYork-Presbyterian Queens and a three-year specialty residency in Prosthodontics at NYU, where he received the Klein Boot Award for excellence in achievement. He went on to spend a decade as an Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor at NYU, teaching dental students and training the next generation of prosthodontists. He is a member of the American College of Prosthodontists and the Academy of Innovative Dentistry.

Despite the complexity of his work, Dr. Farahani’s approach to patients is simple: listen first. He knows that many people come to him feeling anxious, self-conscious or worn out by years of dental problems. He takes the time to understand each patient’s concerns and goals, explains every option in plain language, and builds a treatment plan that fits their needs. His patients describe him as calm, approachable and caring, and he sees earning their trust as just as important as the results.

Outside the office, Dr. Farahani loves spending time with his family and little daughter.  He is an avid fitness enthusiast with a focus on weightlifting.  He loves cars, tennis and travel.
