My approach is grounded in biology, thoughtful planning, and uncompromising fundamentals, with one goal: to restore health, esthetics, and self-confidence through outcomes that are predictable and built to last.

Background & training
Dr. Edgard El Chaar is a distinguished leader in periodontics and implant dentistry with decades of clinical and academic experience. He is a former Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Periodontics and Implant Dentistry and former Director of the Advanced Education Program in Periodontics at New York University College of Dentistry. He also served as Director and Founder of the Advanced Education Program in Periodontics at Lutheran Medical Center.
Today, Dr. El Chaar maintains a thriving private practice in New York City, specializing in dental implants and the treatment of periodontal disease. He is the founder of the EEC Institute, a continuing education and research organization dedicated to advancing clinical periodontics and implant dentistry worldwide.
A retired Major in the U.S. Army, Dr. El Chaar is an internationally recognized lecturer, presenting at conferences across the globe several times each year. He has authored numerous peer-reviewed articles and contributed chapters to leading textbooks in his field.
